@exlondoner I think you should just google upside down pineapple on a cruise ship door. You might want to open up a private new tab first. 🤭 I had to look it up after reading about it on the Celebrity forums.

I did that some days ago. Do pay attention.😀😀😀

I eat a lot of French things, because, well, they are French.  Reminds me of the Great British Baking Show (alias Bake Off)  when Pru was sampling some patisserie and told Paul, "those French really know how to bake."  Paul's response:  "Yes, damn them."

Do people in California really watch a programme about making cakes? Never seen it myself.

Good morning everyone.

Sorry I disappeared last night but this was what I was working with.

Clearly connected to the wifi....yet hub app said this..

Wifi so slow even the hub app wasn't working. When I finally got a speed test to work (most failed) this was the result.

So I gave up and took myself to bed.

I've got a little catching up to do this morning but I need to get a bite to eat and make it to walk a mile with Andy which he is hosting at 10:15 this morning.

I want to thank everyone whose reading my ramblings 🤣. We hit a big milestone last night, 100k views.

Nice to see a pepper pot in the top picture. Glad you are keeping on top of that.
Paper is all the wrong way round. I suppose they do wash those metal plates?

Catching back up. My BIL and his fiancé are on with you. And Aris is at Java Blue in the morning from 9-11, lobby bar from 8-10pm and casino bar 10-11pm.

I'll be on the lookout 👀

I heard none of the laundry rooms work onboard. 😬

I heard they were back up but have not confirmed that. I will check it out today and find out. Thankful Stuart takes care of my laundry.

The ship is not quite ready which I think is to be expected. I'm glad so far none of the issues I'm hearing about are impacting me. I had no hot water the first night but it was working by morning.

That chili looks disgusting @jam19872016. I think this may be another example of a Cunard difference. 😙

I'm not sure Chilli ever looks appetizing 😆. It's got an odd taste for chilli that I can't put my finger on, but I dig it. Almost like they use brown sugar in it maybe?

@jam19872016

Was there really a stuffed mushroom underneath all of that?

There was one lonely mushroom. He was not stuffed but rather piled on. Flavor was good at least.

Plus soggy fries…

Chilli did a great job of masking the fries shortcomings 😆

I love cooking shows but never got into that one. I always assumed it was a big hit over there that got imported to the US. Are you saying that brits don't have The Great British Bakeoff?

Yes, of course we do. I believe it is hugely popular, but I have never watched it, because I have no interest in competitive cake making. Never seen the dancing programme either.

Can you let me know if they have ice cream cones? We will be on Pride for crossing on Saturday. Take all the bad weather with you please! LOL!!

I will investigate. I may need to consume one for quality control but I will do that for you.

Weather isn't terrible just not great. Temps have dropped but its the wind making it so bad. As i recall, the day before, of, and day after Malaga were the only bad weather days on the way over so maybe this area is prone to it and then we will have another smooth and sunny crossing.

It doesn’t look stuffed so much as swamped. May taste nice though, if you like cheese sauce. If I’d had to guess, I might have guessed it was lasagne. 🙂

It was tasty. This used to be much better but Carnival has tweeked the recipe and not for the better. It used to come in a white cream sauce that was heaven in a plate. I'll dig around the archives to see if I can locate an older version of it.

It did look like lasagna although a very sad attempt at one.

I have to assume they do since the BBQ place serves directly onto the metal plate.

Really???? I don’t think I’ve ever seen u in a jacket lol

It's the wind chill on the top decks. It's brutal. Once my blood got pumping I had to take it off warmed up quickly.

Yea I've never cared for any of the baking ones  but oddly enough enjoy most of the other competitive cooking shows. No idea why the baking ones don't interact me.

Dancing is a hard pass for me too.

Passed by the coffee line but it was 11 people deep so I'll try again later.

Giving it a few more minutes then heading to lunch. It's Spanish theme today and certainly not my favorite. Today would have been a good day for a diamond lunch invite.

I think it is the competitive element I dislike. When I was a teacher, I spent a lot of emotional capital sorting out the very few children in the year who did less well than they had hoped in their exams. Hence, I spend all my time worrying about the losers, which banishes any possible enjoyment.
