25,000 Sign Up Bonus for NCL Card

Anyone who’s been waiting for a higher signup bonus, now would be the time.  I just got an email with 25k instead of the normal 20k.

 

if you read the last several pages of the NCL credit card FAQ topic (first on page 1) you can get ideas on how to optimize this bonus to your advantage.

The 25,000 equates to $250 cash back. Not a bad inducement.

 

If I didn't already have the card, I'd apply. Hey, maybe BOA won't notice that I already have one (as does Mrs. Schmoopie).

Actually the best use if you’re are willing to stay in a balcony or below is the one meta upgrade for 30,000 points.   Get the card, book a QA cabin, pay for your cruise (25k plus 3x your cruise cost) should put you at 30,000 points.  Then call and upgrade to a BA.  The actual value of those points when used as an upgrade is typically worth $1000+.  And, the longer the cruise is typically more value.

That’s how I look with Amex/Delta…thinking about rethinking my card mix.
