Ports on Rotterdam Southern Caribbean Seafarer

I'd just be happy if they'd update their images that they use to sell the cruise.  If you look at the 12/3/23 sailing of Rotterdam, you sure would think that it's stopping in Key West.  It is instead going to foulmouth, which is now a ship day for us.  

 

Did they update the itinerary?  Sure they did.  But not the image, which is the first thing you see.

They publish these itineraries 2 years in advance? I'm pretty sure they don't have an have a plan A and then publish Plan B to get bookings and switch to the Plan A.

When local governments of popular ports of call decide to restrict the number of cruise ships/passengers, there's not much HAL can do about that, @Chemboy. There are ripple effects from removing Bonaire for multiple itineraries, similar to the switch from Amsterdam to Rotterdam.  Cancel what you booked if you're unhappy. You have options.

Hey Sailawayward......read the whole post.. We cancelled it but will lose the insurance money we paid. As I said, we knew these ports were limiting ships well before they pulled the pin. That is the point. Totally agree it is not in HAL's control when ports decide to limit ships.......but they can inform us in time and go good on losses as they used to do. We will be booking another cruise.

I read your post.  Your cruise is in March.  You were informed of these changes 6 months in advance before final payment was due.

You voluntarily booked a cruise far in advance and agreed to the given terms with the applicable deposit & insurance to secure your reservation.  Now you're unhappy with the outcome because of a risk you took on the deposit/insurance terms you accepted in order to secure that reservation.  They gave you 6 months notice of the itinerary change, and you're accusing HAL of trickery and a bad management practice because you voluntarily canceled a cruise you do not want to join.
