Lighters Question???

I use a Zippo lighter to light my cigars. and there is no way it will last one full week. so i have a little bottle of fluid. is this ok to take on board?

Checked luggage only, not carry ons.

If you are flying into the port, it cannot go in checked bags or in carry-ons. Buy it before you board. Flamable liquids are not allowed on aircrafts. Thats why they are taking lighters away at the airports (TSA).

to be clear, i am well aware of airport sercurity protocall, after all i work for the FAA. my question was in regards to the ship. since they have a no open flame policy.

Actually, not only are never-before used Zippos allowed in checked luggage, you can also take used & filled Zippos in checked luggage if they are in a TSA approved case.

The answer is...YES...you may use a lighter on board. I always do...guess everyone read to much into your question.

If you could'nt use a lighter on board they would'nt have ash trays.:eek:

After thinking a bit...I think they are referring to open flames in such things as candles or uncontrolled flames. Just a thought.;)
