Potts Point, Sydney accommodation

Recommended Posts

We have stayed at the De Vere Hotel in Potts Point in Sydney for years because we love the location. It has excellent public transport for visitors.  From Kings Cross subway, you can catch the train to Bondi Junction, then bus to North Bondi or Bondi Beach.  it has two local busses 311 to City and 311 to Central (Railway Station).  On Tuesday, I did a tour of the City on the 311.  Then I got out at Taylor's Square to catch the 333 to Circular Quay to ride the ferries all day.  In addition, you can catch 324 and 325 for scenic trips to Watson's Bay for fish and chips on the Wharf, then catch the scenic ferry in to the Overseas Passenger Terminal in the city.

We have just spent five nights at the De Vere Hotel and were surprised that they no longer provided a buffet breakfast nor daily room service.  However, you can get supplies from reception at any time.  Staff on reception were always efficient and friendly,  Seems they lost their overseas tour groups following Covid. There is a big collection of cafes and a Potts Point Providore shop full of locals from which to choose to dine. It is an expensive suburb.
