Carnival Changes

Carnival has always listed the cruises as either partial or full transit.  All the new listings have changed (2024 forward) to showing Colon and Limon with excursions.   Is that different?  Are there no more partial transits where the ship will go into Gatun Lake with Carnival?

We are a board about the Panama Canal.  We don’t have any inside info about what Carnival is or is not doing.  EM

This thread made me check our Dec 2024 PC cruise.  When I booked, it was listed as a partial transit.  Now it just list Colon as a port.  Guess I will have to keep a sharp eye out for whe excursions for that port are available to book.  As of today, there arent any listed for Colon
