Rainbow calypso tour

Took this two hour tour of the island on 11/3. All we saw were poor rundown homes and neighborhoods. Beer bottles, liquor, bottles and open bags of trash littered all along the shore of the salt ponds. Donkey scat everywhere. The John Glenn capsule replica monument was in disrepair. The tour took us to the lighthouse but if you wanted to tour the grounds it was an extra $3 a person.

This is why you simply hire a taxi to give you a tour.  Taxi drivers are proud of their island and will take you to places where the tour buses don't go.  And to good local restaurants and shops.  But yes the lighthouse is extra for everyone.
