Usually the action you described blocks your card for 24 hours.

I chatted with a Casino Manager and learned it may be different of different classes ships and the technology available on a ship.    On Solstice (Not revolutionized) you have to go to the Cashier and buy a Credit Slip which was charged to our room key.

My experience on many of the E and S class ships is that you can take out money by creating an account via the Slot Machine and then transfer money to the slot machine.  You can then play or cash out for a credit slip.    Usually after a withdrawal you account is locked for about a day or until you play 50% of the amount through the machine -  Then it automatically resets.

When you say "account is locked"... what does this lock exactly? Casino activity, or does it preclude other transactions (eg:  charging a spa service?)

Sorry-  They only lock additional transfers from Slot Machines.     All else is fine.    You can continue to play slots.   You will also be able to go to the Cashier Cage and charge Chips for gambling.   For gambling they give you Promotional Chips for NR OBC but any winning is returned in regular chips.

A lot of this has changed since so many have learned how to play the system.  Too bad. Some spoil it for all.  Guess that's nature.

We were only allowed to do this once, the rest of the week the transfer option was not available on slots.

We used our unused OBC for tips

this was on Reflection

Or you could have drawn it in promotional chips for Roulette and Blackjack. Any winnings are in real money.

Play "corners" i,e, one chip covers 4 numbers and 5 chips gives you around a 50 /50 bet. You won't make a fortune, will have fun and your OBC is "legally" converted to cash  Be sure to keep your winnings separate and walk away when your promo chips have been spent.
