Heading on the MG tomorrow!!!!

Can we carry on 4 12packs of soft drinks and 3 bottles of wine?  we've cruised a ton but never bothered with bringing on soft drinks or wine before.

- 2 adults

- 1 adult child

Not sure the above post is correct.  We do not carry on soda any longer but back in the day when DS was young and we actually carried on soda, we always carried on a 12 pk of soda per each of us (counting him) and our 2 bottles of wine. I never heard it was either or for each person.

Have a blast, we board in a few weeks right before Christmas, we love this class of ship and had such a good time last December.

No, 3 bottles of wine and 1 12 pack of soda. Or, 4 12 packs of soda. Or, 2 bottles of wine and 2 12 packs of soda. Or, 3 12 packs and 1 bottle of wine....you get the idea...

This answer makes no sense. Idk how much soda. I know for rcl it says 1 12 pack per cabin. It's for sure not dependent on how many bottles of wine carried on. It's been a long time since I carried on anything. We tried 24 cans of sparkling water and never drank them lol. So it might br 24 cans of water or soda.

OP are you all in 1 cabin or 2?

Not that hard:

3 adults, choice of a bottle of wine each or a 12 pack of soda each.

the kid only has a choice of a 12 pack of soda

Wrong!  Adults can bring both soda and wine.  It's not an either/or.

Per Carnival's website:

On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less, per person.

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception - at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750-ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne, per person, in their carry-on luggage.* Outside this exception, all liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided. Guests sailing with us on back-to-back cruises are entitled to bring the same quantity as stated in this policy, per cruise. The additional quantities will be stored for safekeeping at the start of the first cruise and will be given to the guest as each following cruise begins.

* Port, Vermouth, Sherry and other fortified wines cannot be brought on board.

It says nothing about having to choose between soda or wine.

No, each adult can bring both a bottle of wine and a 12-pack of soda in their carry-on luggage.  I've done it myself numerous times.

Number of cabins doesn't matter. Carnival's limits are per person, not per cabin.

Absolutely, 100% incorrect. 3 adults and a child is entitled to bring 4 12 packs and 3 bottles of wine.
