Securing private transportation from Kobe, Japan

Hello all,

We're going to be docked at Kobe, Japan in the spring and want to visit a site that's about a 3.5 hour drive from port. It's off the beaten path, so a driver (rather than public transportation) is going to be our best option given time constraints. Can anyone suggest the best way to book a driver? Guide not needed.

I'm aware that they'll do this when you're requesting tours. To your knowledge, will they do it for transportation only?

A few sites. I have enquired through the first 2 and seem reasonable. The other 2 are Japanese sites.

Although they all list specific tours at least with the first 2 you can ask about a particular destination or event you want to do.

If it is spring during cherry blossom time, you need to get this booked NOW.  I waited too long last year, and we were not able to secure a driver.
