Which WIFI plan will allow one to facetime from the ship?

Carnival does not support facetime but it should work on any paid plan. They do support facebook messenger, so have that as a backup in case facetime doesn't work.

I have been testing FaceTime, Microsoft Teams Video “Meet Now” (with plans to test Zoom, Zoho Assist, Microsoft RDP) last week and this week on Carnival Magic. Itinerary is Bahamas, Mid-Carribean. 
 

Experience is sometimes great synchronization (lip sync), and sometimes laggy, with zero dropped connections. I will create a separate thread post-trip. (IT guy, trying to figure out if working on a cruise is feasible with new Starlink).

I was able attend TEAMS/ZOOM meetings while on Spirit (which did not have Starlink yet) with the premium wifi package, and had no issues at all (this was a 16-day Panama Canal itenerary and coverage was good the whole time).

I have been able to use Facebook Messenger to video chat with people back home with just the social media plan. Of course, it just depends on whether the wifi on the ship is being cooperative.

We usually get the middle plan on the wifi and we have used the WhatsApp for texting and video calling with no charges.
