Golf cart rental insurance?

I'm going to rent a golf cart through a cruise ship excursion in Key West.  Do I and how do I insure this?

Like renting a car, the rental firm may offer coverage. 

 

Assuming you reside in the US and own a golf cart, your personal car insurance doesn't cover golf carts and your homeowners insurance offers limited coverage while it's used around your property. You can buy golf cart insurance or some auto insurers will add it to your policy.
