Freedom OTS - Live Pre-Christmas Sailing

Hello again everyone!

 

After a few week hiatus we're returning to Freedom of the Seas for yet another casino sponsored cruise. This time we're going without kids for a well deserved getaway. 

 

We're hitting the standard 3 nighter out of Florida, starting in Miami visiting CocoCay and then Nassau, but really this trip is about a nice relaxing weekend before the holidays. 

 

More posts to come, but we're sailing in an OV Balcony and will be spending our dinners in either Giovanni's or Chops.

Unfortunately two of my bottle bags ripped on the return travel last time so new ones were in order. Side quest is obtaining 3-4 bottles of JD American Single Malt. 
 

For those not in the know this bottle can only be found in duty free shops and military bases so coming across it can be rather difficult. I got 2 bottles last adventure and want to stock up while I can.

Delta was also gracious enough to offer a free upgrade this morning on our second leg of travel which was a welcome surprise.

Oh and important to note, the cruise ship sells these for $100 each.

Future cast weather for Miami and Bahamas looks a bit wet, fingers crossed for some sun this weekend!

Side quest #2 is a drink at the floating bar.

Grabbed some little bottles pre cruise and happened across a bookers to add to the shelf.

Getting into the hard stuff before our travel day.

We’re not going to have a drink package so entirely reliant upon our diamond drinks plus the generosity of the bar staff. I’ll report back on how extra tips enhance our bar experience.

Weather is looking “sus” for this weekend. Going to be very interesting!

Uneventful ride to the airport, vacation mode is almost on.

Last cruise I accidentally had two mini bottles in my back pack and they made it through so I proceeded to throw them out immediately upon realizing that I made such a mistake.
