Has anyone used Costa’s bus service from Civitavecchia to FCO airport before? How was it?

 

and if we’re scheduled to arrive in port on the Costa Toscana at 8:30 AM, is a 1:50 PM flight safe or is that cutting it too close?

I have used it twice. Worked well both times.

It leaves at 10am and gets to the airport about 11.30.

Did you have any issues arriving to the airport and getting checked in?  Did you have sufficient time to check your luggage and get thru customs without rushing?

Check-in and luggage drop off opens two hours before departure and you don't go through customs during departure. Passort control at the border is very fast as long as your papers are in order, you didn't overstay or committed other illegal things.
