Marriott Hotel in San Juan

Anyone know how far the Marriott San Juan Resort is from the pier? Just got this hotel through Priceline.com for $125/night and now need to know how far away it is.

I was wondering the same thing...I still haven't gottenthe guts to use Priceline though....but it's a much better deal than booking with Marriott!

We stayed post cruise there and it's not a bad ride from the pier. Can't remember exact time, but definitely not a terribly long cab ride. The hotel is very nice, a great swim up pool bar with food, right on the beach and a casino. And right on a main street with a little shopping.

Hey, how long ago did you book to get that rate? Ive been trying for weeks on price line and they keep rejecting my offers. Then I booked the small hotel next door. Guess we will just walk over to use Marriot's pool.

I have been there before, its nice. It wa a 15.00 cab ride from the pier. Only about 3 miles though.

 

PS, I used to live in Fair Oaks. My husbands family lives in Citrus Heights and Roseville. Small world.

We booked on priceline as well, we booked at the end of November for the end of April. $95/pre cruise and the same for post cruise.

 

I was also just confirmed that the renovations are now complete at the hotel.

Just booked this hotel tonight as well! I did not use Priceline as I will be paying with an incentive card and must book paying the "normal" rates. That's OK though since the money is not "out of pocket". Hotel does look very nice and gets good ratings on Trip Advisor. (I never book a hotel without consulting Trip Advisor!) I am excited about staying here.

We stayed there a couple years ago. Can't remember exactly but it was somewhere around 15 - 20 minutes to the pier.

If that's the hotel you booked you're about a ten-fifteen minute cab ride from the hotel.. a beautiful place on a street loaded with street cafe's with great food and nice drinks..

Last time we stayed at the Marriott, it was about a $20 cab ride to the Pan Am Pier. Don't forget that in PR, the cabs charge extra for luggage. I know when we get cabs from the airport to the hotel, the dispatcher asks how many bags and people. When we rode from the hotel the cab driver saw the number of people (4) and the amount of luggage and it was $20. Hope that helps.

It is approximately 15-20 minutes from the hotel to the pier. I have stayed there before. Nice hotel..... enjoy!!

Go for the new mariott courtyard. It's less than 5 mins from pier, in Condado. It's about 10-15 mins from airport, depending on traffic.
