HAL Noordam Cabins J1031 (inside) and H4109 (outside)

Hi, can anyone advise on these two cabins? The inside cabin J1031 looks good but there appears to be an empty space above it in the deck plans and we aren’t sure what that is and thinking it could be noisy? It’s an empty space between BB King Blues Club and Northern Lights Night Club and maybe it’s some kind of service area for the bars?

Cabin H4109 looks good too and wondering if anyone has input on this cabin?

We are looking at booking either one of these for a 28 day cruise.

Thanks all for your help!

Those square insides are the best cabins.  Very roomy.  I’ve spent 40 nights in K1116, part on Westerdam and part on Nieuw Amsterdam.  I also spent 32 days in an OV cabin on Oosterdam and would not do it again.  Having a tub and a window is not worth it.  You have to crawl across the bed to see out the window.  If you separate the beds, the nightstand keeps you from getting close to the window.  The inside is much larger.  EM

Love those J cabins on Vista and Signature class ships.  Have one coming up on Eurodam in a few weeks.

I use cruisedeckplans dot com.  They have a "deck drag" option where you can see what's above or below, assuming the decks you're comparing are to scale (that aren't always).

I prefer starboard (so you aren't under BB Kings) but a bit further aft than 1031.  You'll be under the piano bar, but they don't play late into the night (I'm not sure about the schedules because I avoid piano bars like the plague but they keep me out of the casino some nights, so that's OK 😁 ).

1053 is my favorite.
