Rare mking8288 Posted December 31, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2023 Weather and sea state/conditions permitting, NCL's Spirit of St. George (free ferry) will run on a scheduled, tailored to the ship's TA arrival & sailaway schedule across that wide body of water in the channel. Timetable is usually published and available onboard the ship ... ferry was operational this April during our TA stop ... it's running this month and no reason to think NCL will not run the ferry throughout this winter into early early Spring, whenever one of the ship has a planned stop at Dockyard. Last minute cancellation of the stop at Bermuda are known to happen, due to weather forecast as safety is first & foremost, important. Dockyard is becoming one of NCL's year-round port of call, not just for ships on a TA crossing. We missed it just last month and nieces/family missed it earlier this month on a non-TA cruise, yet the same ship made it successful on the following non-TA sailing. Rare tsahall01 Posted December 31, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2023 If there are 2 NCL ships in port, be sure to get to the ferry EARLY. This last November, we were there over 30 minutes early--we were not able to board as there was no space! A LOT of angry people!! They only had one ferry going from Dockyard to St George and one coming back. This could differ for those sailing to and overnighting in Bermuda in high season, but in November, there was only one round trip offered.
