Move Up bid discounts?

I'm on an upcoming sailing on the Edge and have been looking at the Move Up bids.  I just looked and most of the suites have a note that there is a discount on the bid (ranges from 20% to 40%) and, having monitored these for a while, I can say the minimum bid has dropped for when it first opened.  Reading on these boards this doesn't seem typical.  Just curious if anyone else has had this happened on their cruises.

This happened on our Christmas cruise on Millennium as well.

I’ve seen it before and seen where max bid significantly dropped.   Those that did not check could have overpaid

It happened on our 12/5/23 Summit cruise that had quite a few Aqua cabins open but not much else. It dropped by 20% so we put in the minimum bid and won.
