Tokyo Transfer Logistics

Recommended Posts

Which Tokyo cruise terminal does Regent use? We're planning a Tokyo-Tokyo cruise on Explorer for March, 2025, and want to stay on afterwards to visit Tokyo Disney Resort. Would it be easier to take Regent's transfer back to HND airport and then get the Limo Bus to Disney, or is there a recommended car service which can take us right from the cruise terminal?

It depends.
In April, on Explorer, we left from the Tokyo cruise port and returned to the Yokohama cruise port.
Suggest Regent is your best source of information. They may not even know yet.
I would think your easiest transport would be with a hired car.
When we disembarked at Yokohama it was a very slow process but there were a lot of hired cars waiting. Taking a bus to Haneda would be a huge hassle and a stressful experience.

unless the economics are overwhelming I would go with th convenience of the car service at the cruise terminal.  We had an exceptional experience with Tokyo MK car service but only one trip and it was pre-covid.  They charged $225 from Narita to the Hilton.  I would guess that regular taxis are less expensive and in our experience Tokyo taxis were very reliable.

We have used the Tokyo Limousine service from and to both Haneda and Narita, it is called a bus but is really a luxury coach with baggage loaded underneath.

I am not sure where you be docking but I would check their site and see if you can use their services.

If you are staying in Tokyo and want to use public transport I would also suggest you buy a Suica card which you can also use in most shops. With this and precruise purchase we were able to use it on Osaka and Nara, you can top it up easily and if there is any credit left spend it in the 7/11. ( it was crowded with cruise passengers doing this or spending their last Yen!

When we went (October) they were only available at the airport due to a shortage of chips.

happy planning

I've heard great things about the Limousine Bus, but unfortunately it doesn't include trips that don't include the airport. We're arriving at Yokohama, which is quite a way away from Tokyo Disney, about 28 miles. It's at least three trains, with walking involved.

If you have spare time in Tokyo may I suggest visiting this place, totally amazing and definitely worth it. While we were in Tokyo precruise they were sold out for weeks ahead and on our last day I checked the website again and some places had become available.

Thanks for the links. Nice to know there's an option for transfers to the resort.

TeamLab looks compelling. I'll file that in my notes. Our cruise isn't until March, 2025!
