scoochy12 Posted January 9 #1 Share Posted January 9 Hello All, We board the Pearl in Trieste on 5/27. Venice is the 1st port the following day. Has anyone had this experience in previous years? How long is the tender ride? And where does it stop you off in Venice? Trying to figure out the day with plans. TIA
yakcruiser Posted January 9 #2 Share Posted January 9 Did this in April on the Star. The tender ride was 90 minutes. It dropped us off at the old cruise terminal where you can catch the people mover or walk into town. You need to be on the first tender early in the morning or you will have limited time in Venice. We were on our way by 7:00 but we heard the next tenders didn't depart until noon.

Rare kjquilts Posted January 9 #4 Share Posted January 9 Also see this thread I did erroneously say we went down the Grand Canal when I should have said Giudecca Canal but it was still wonderful 🙂 I am very glad we booked the ship excursion to Murano / Burano because we were among the first off the ship. We chose that excursion because we spent two nights in Venice before taking the train to Trieste day of the cruise. I love Venice and want to go back!
