scubaslayer Posted January 15 #1 Share Posted January 15 We are looking for a cruise between August and December of this year to somewhere warm. The teens are 15 (possibly 16 depending on sale date) and 17. They have cruised twice on Royal on Liberty of the Seas. Right now we are looking at Harmony or Navigator but have been contemplating trying other lines as well. The only must have for the ship is waterslides and either 2 balcony rooms or a 2 bedroom suite that is reasonably priced (ie comparable to 2 separate rooms plus the extras that are included in a suite) for the 4 of us. Also we would really want an itinerary with something besides Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Those places are great but both of our previous cruises were the same itinerary. Also youngest kid will probably not have a new passport so US loop cruise is necessary. We live the same driving distance from Galveston and LA but could fly if the price is good enough. Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted January 15 #2 Share Posted January 15 I wouldn't call RCI's prices reasonable lately.... August-October is still hurricane season, so it will be a hit or miss. Also look at the latest NCL and Carnival ships.
Lunarballoon_0 Posted January 19 #3 Share Posted January 19 I'd recommend Carnival Mardi Gras for your family adventure! It offers the longest water slide for your teens, unique Central American stops, and a fun atmosphere that'll keep everyone entertained. Plus, the suite deals might surprise you. ☀️
SG65CB Posted February 1 #4 Share Posted February 1 if you want a cruise that goes to interesting new places instead of the usual Cozumel, Nassau, Coco Cay and Jamaica look into sailing from Puerto Rico. There is a whole string of eastern islands from the Virgin Islands to Barbados that offer new places to go and things to do.
