Trip down memory lane when HAL had 8 smaller ships to choose from - the S and R class ships and the Prinsendam

Our first HAL cruise was on the Amsterdam to Alaska and it was followed a number years later with a long Prinsendam cruise from Greece to FLL.  That set the hook for me for long cruises.  We were able to sail on all of the S class ships except the Veendam and all of the R class except for the Rotterdam .  Our greatest number of days (in the hundreds) are on the Maasdam (most favorite because of itineraries) and the Volendam (in the hundreds also) and both are due to the great itineraries.
