waterbabyfish Posted February 7 #1 Share Posted February 7 Thinking of booking one of these...my question is that in the diagram of the lido deck all the way forward, it shows a door between the port side and starboard side , is that door open all the time? Just in case I want to do laps.

Rare Lady Arwen Posted February 7 #3 Share Posted February 7 Are you referring to the most forward deluxe obstructed view cabins on Royal class ships. Example L101, 102, 103, 104?

That is one of many fire doors. You will notice others on all the deck plans. They are always open unless an emergency. Rare karatemom2 Posted February 7 #8 Share Posted February 7 You will not regret booking one of the forward balcony cabins - they are our absolute favorite. The spaciousness and complete views they offer is amazing. We managed to nab one for our Land of the Midnight sun cruise in Norway this summer and I am so excited about seeing the fjords with our expansive view. If we are on a Royal class ship, those cabins are always our first choice.

It’s because the fire equipment closet is between them. Love these balconies, but mostly on itineraries with exciting views. Too hot for the Caribbean, IMHO. We don’t even mind the metal front panels. Edited February 7 by Lady Arwen Spelling
