debjo Posted February 14 #1 Share Posted February 14 Greetings To All...and Happy Valentine's Day! It has been a few years since we've gone on a cruise. Previously, we've taken advantage of the REDUCED DEPOSIT that Princess Cruises always offered as a Valentine's Day promotion. We had always gotten an advance email telling us about the promotion. Today, I'm not finding any reference to it on the Princess website. Does anyone know what happened to that "LOVE"-ly promotion? Debjo
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted February 14 #2 Share Posted February 14 If you don't see it splashed all over the main page then they're obviously not offering it....
Rare Lady Arwen Posted February 14 #3 Share Posted February 14 I haven’t seen this promo in a very long time. If it’s not on the website then it’s still gone.
Nina On The Sea Posted February 14 #4 Share Posted February 14 I think currently the promo offers a $100 deposit, although it's not the Love promo but it could work for you.

debjo Posted February 14 Author #7 Share Posted February 14 (edited) Thanks everyone for your very quick replies. We've always felt that the quickest way to get an answer is to ask you kind folks here on Cruise Critic! We have to say that we're disappointed to learn that the Valentine's Day $2.00 deposit here in the USA seems to no longer be available. Now we're wondering if the "Love Boat" connection to Princess Cruises is a too long ago memory to market to the potential younger cruising audience? Debjo Actually, Covid had the greatest impact on the cruise industry and probably will for sometime. Before the shutdown, $1 deposits were common. Princess hasn’t been the Love Boat fantasy for quite some time. And yes, all cruiselines are looking to the younger demographic to build on in the future. Hence, ships with amusement parks on the top decks.
