Sorry this happened to you - rude passengers are becoming increasingly normal on cruises......apparently they leave their manners at the dock.

Yup. On Anthem I was going up to Deck 15 for sailing under the Verrazano Bridge, and as I was walking up the ramp to the North Star Bar, I was hit in the nose/cheek by a snow/ice ball (it was moist enough it was not just snow) that someone threw. I got up enough to see the people and said to one guy making and holding a ball “You need to be aware of where you are throwing those. I just got hit.” And he acted less than sorry - said it, but tone and facial expression said otherwise. I am still not sure if they were just randomly throwing them, if the intended target ducked, or if they thought I was someone else - but they all certainly played dumb like they had no clue where it came from.

 

( spoke with an officer at the Top Tier event just to make them aware that in the future, ensuring that as much snow as possible is cleared would be a good idea. She was very apologetic and seemed shocked that people would have been throwing snowballs - she asked if I needed medical attention, which I didn’t…my cheek is a little sore but nothing bruised…and said she would certainly speak to the heads of hotel and housekeeping so that they could follow up with crew about clearing snow if they run into that again.)

 

So yeah, there are a lot of rude people out there.

Wow - that is a whole other level. So glad you were not seriously injured, although you sure could have been. In my old age lol, I have taken to calling out people who are rude - honestly, I do. I just can't seem to let it slide anymore.....

I am chilled to the bone. No cold coffee for me today so I'm going to try out the fancy coffee machine in the crown Lounge for the first time.

Complimentary breakfast menu. I've always wanted to try it but I'm not a morning person.

Thanks! Yeah, had it been a direct hit to my nose, I strongly suspect I would have had a broken one to deal with.

I have to pick my battles as once I get worked up it's hard to calm down. In this case, the added stress of confronting them wasn't worth the table. Unfortunately that is the sort of thing that embolden people to be jerks.

No charge for Johhny Rockets. I was presented a bill for $17.xx and I politely informed the server I had the dining plan and he corrected it.

 

The fries were nothing special, however they were smothered in chilli and cheese sauce and delicious. I even dumped a little ranch on top. Tasty and naughty treat.

 

The burger isn't quite a guy's burger but it is very good. The buns were toasted and the burger had a nice grill flavor to it. This one comes with a spicy chilli ketchup that really kicks up the flavor. Love the #12.

 

The sundae for dessert was another delicious and naughty treat. Vanilla ice cream and drizzled with whipped cream and Hersheys syrup. 

 

The cover charge is insane at over $17 now with gratuity but as part of the package it's a great added value. Happy to see lunches still included.

Nice and quiet in the crown Lounge. Music is on overhead but at a quiet volume. Think this will make a nice spot for my daily coffee this week. I will probably switch back to my Frappuccinos after today though. These are a nice inclusion but I do like my fru fru drinks 😀

Took a quick walk to tje end of the pier. It feels a lot longer when it is hot but it is cool, almost cold, with a strong breeze today.

 

Gotta give the people what they want. This one's for all the mooring line fans.
