Family group of 16 will be on the Escape from Rome to Venice, June 26 - July 3. Would appreciate any information about transfers from Rome hotel to the NCL cruise port in Civitavecchia.  And also best/easiest way to get from Trieste port to Venice.

I can only recommend that you hurry. Good prices disappear fast and the availability becomes very limited. This is common for transfers to most cruise ports. Always give yourself an extra hour or two.

Also lots of videos on YouTube that show options from Rome to the port.

Thanks for your replies - we're booked for transfer from Rome hotel to the cruise port, but still not finding much for getting from Trieste to Venice.

We are actually going Venice to Trieste on July 3. Getting on your old ship. NCL will provide you with 2 hotel names that include transport however they are not on the island/city centre of Venice. We have booked a train from Santa Lucia Termini on the island to Trieste. About 1.5 hours and very inexpensive.

Whew, a group of 16! We are boarding Escape July 3. Can't wait. The train to Venice might be a good option to book in advance. https://www.trenitalia.com/en/purchase.html

Have fun!

I'm on this cruise arriving Trieste on 21 Aug. NCL has transfer for $50/each from port to airport, which seems reasonable for two travelers. We're on the 2:50 AA departure to ORD. Any reason to avoid the NCL transfer?
