Andes & South America Adventure

This looks like a new cruise on the Golden. Has anyone done this cruise? Looks great for us. My husband wants Mexico and I want to see some South America. Is 23 days to long? Is this a good itinerary?

What is the itinerary? (maybe you could post this). We just returned from a 62 day trip all around SA so I can't imagine 23 days being too long!

We did 21 days on the Regal cruising from Rio to Valpariso via Antarctica and I would do it again if I could.

 

Certainly 21 days was not too long.

The itinerary is as follows:

Santiago Chile

La Serena Chile

Arica Chile

San Martin Peru

Lima Peru

Quito Ecuador

Fuerte Amador Panama

Puntarenas, Cost Rica

Huatulco Mexico

Acapulco Mexico

Ixtapa Mexico

Puerto Vallarta Mexico

Mazatlan Mexico

Cabo San Lucas Mexico

ending in San Francisco CA. Whew! I didn't put in the sea days but you get the idea. The published fares for this 23 day cruise are only slightly higher than the 16 day Andes & South America one they offer. I am not even sure we can swing this much time off work but I thought I check it out

In my opinion (and I'm sure others may disagree) I'd rather start in say Rio and include more of the southern part of South America and cut out the Central America portion of the itinerary.
