Torpoint Posted February 26 #1 Share Posted February 26 It's been a few years since I was last on a Princess sailing when my husband was with me. I'm seriously considering a booking on the Majestic Princess but I wonder if any solos reading this could tell me what sort of events Princess organise to attract solos to socialise. I've had very mixed experiences on other lines and I welcome meeting fellow passengers from all over the world.
TM Posted February 26 #2 Share Posted February 26 There is typically a gathering of singles on the first or 2nd day of each cruise. Maybe other days afterwards but I can't say for sure. They will always be listed in the daily Patter. You might also consider joining your roll call although the vast majority of folks attending an on-ship get-together will be couples. But it will still provide an opportunity to meet others on your ship.
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted February 26 #3 Share Posted February 26 The last cruise I was on (Caribbean Princess/Fall), there was a very active group that met for lunch on sea days/teas and in Vines (listed in Patter). Unfortunately, Vines was way too loud for enjoyment. Could barely carry on a conversation. These were organized by someone on the Roll Call. Best to check in on yours. I have also been on a cruise where there was nothing. Good luck. Most everyone on a cruise are friendly and open to conversations unless buried in a good book.
