Late flight home from Ft. Lauderdale - what to do?

We don’t fly out until 6pm on our disembarkation day (Sunday, March 31). We don’t necessarily want to sit at the airport all day or do a cruise excursion. Any idea if we can store our luggage at a hotel for the day and go to the beach or something similar?

think twice about doing the Everglades Tour.  It is fun, and they hold your luggage.  Beats just sitting around for hours.

You can store luggage at the airport and hop on the water taxi to see some yachts

Just about any hotel will hold luggage for $10, We have done it before at Embassy Suites on 17th. St. Just pick it up when heading to the airport. They have a large room for bags there.

We had a flight out of Ft. Lauderdale last year at about 6:15 pm....We got to the airport at 10:30....WHAT A JOKE....NEVER EVER AGAIN

We have a similar situation but our flight is at 3pm. Hoping to get a table at one of the sit down places and camp out through lunch and then have a movie on the iPad to watch.
