Rare jxtgreek Posted March 18 #1 Share Posted March 18 We just finished a cruise on the Vista. The ship was absolutely amazing except our room. We had a handicap accessible balcony, room 6207 in the front of the ship. Room was beautiful but had one flaw. At night the whistling noise was nearly unbearable. Room attendant said there was nothing they could do that it was part of being in the front of the ship. Just cautioning users about this room. jandres12 Posted March 18 #2 Share Posted March 18 Had this happen on the Miracle, also in the front on deck 6. Ended up jamming a towel in the door where the wind was coming in causing the whistling sound which made it go away. Upon further inspection it looked like the weather stripping had worn off, therefore the door was not sealing properly. It can and should be repaired, but likely not by the cabin steward. tidecat Posted March 18 #3 Share Posted March 18 I had this happen to me on the Horizon. Someone from maintenance came to fix the door. The vibrations had worked the latch loose.

A better trained room steward would have called maintenance to have the door repaired. Sorry you had to deal with that.
