MooNGaTe27 Posted March 19 #1 Share Posted March 19 Does anyone know how the FTTF works at the Charleston port
mz-s Posted March 19 #2 Share Posted March 19 Same as every other port. You get to go through the priority line at check-in.
casinostreer Posted March 20 #3 Share Posted March 20 Have you already booked FTTF? If so - it does help with getting off at ports and debarkation. If you haven't booked - there's really no need. We've sailed on Sunshine 6 times in the past 3 years and have never purchased it and have always been parked, through security and on the ship, having our drink in the Havana Bar in about an hour.

FTTF only helps at the ports of call if there's a tender involved. FTTF really isn't worth the money these days in my opinion, especially since the room is no longer ready at embarkation. That was the biggest benefit when it was $50. Now that it's more than twice that price and that benefit is gone I don't see the point.

We purchased it once - back pre-Covid and found it was totally unnecessary. We do our best to get the boarding time we need/want and then we pack a little patience and know that we're getting on the ship. The other 5+ Sunshine cruises - we've been on board before 12pm - without FTTF.
Butterbean1000 Posted March 20 #6 Share Posted March 20 We used to get it when it was $50. Now that your rooms are not ready and now you can select your arrival time, it's just not worth it especially if you do not have a tendered port. The only benefit is the GS line. But is that worth the outrageous cost?
MooNGaTe27 Posted March 22 Author #7 Share Posted March 22 Thanks for the info. It's not for me it for a person who is handicapped
nc762shooter Posted March 23 #8 Share Posted March 23 Unless I'm mistaken, I thought handicapped guests were eligible for priority boarding without needing to purchase FTTF? You may want to call contact the Special Needs Department ahead of time, they will arrange staff to assist through embarkation.
