coach from edinburgh

hy guys ,we are travelling down from edinburgh to southampton in few weeks .we are to pick up coach from elders street entrance at edinburgh bus station .now we understand this closes at midnight so does anyone know how we get into building for coach ..thanks glen

Assuming that you're there in the middle of the night, I suspect that either the gates will be closed and the bus will just turn in the street at the vehicle entrance and pick you up there, or they will be open with no other traffic around and you will board the bus on the hard-standing.

Here's a link to Google Street View.  Note that it is Elder Street, just off York Place.  You can also get to it on foot along Multrees Walk (from the north-east corner of St Andrew Square) or James Craig Walk (which runs from Princes Street, between The St James Quarter and Register House.

Have you considered using Logan Air? We are doing the reverse and the fare is very reasonable and a lot less time.
