kpjb Posted March 31 #1 Share Posted March 31 Has anyone here used SEA Spot Saver? It looks basically like a virtual queue for security at the airport where you pick a time then skip the line for security. Is it that easy? Our flight out is on a Friday night. Should this save us time, or isn't the airport too busy at that time? TIA.
Glaciers Posted March 31 #2 Share Posted March 31 We’ve used it a couple of times and we did skip the long line and were put at the first of the queue. The only line that was faster was CLEAR. Although it was during a slower time at the airport before cruise season, we arrived at the airport early once and were able to reschedule to an earlier time while there.

Evenings tend to be very busy as there’s a lot of red eyes to the East Coast then. It’s a free service so couldn’t hurt. 🙂
9tee2Sea Posted March 31 #4 Share Posted March 31 and you lose your spot if you are late ( I believe its a 10 min window). I used it once when it first came out. You still have to wait in line to get thru security, it's just you won't have to wait at the end of the line. Maybe things have changed
Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted March 31 #5 Share Posted March 31 (edited) We recently booked it and we arrived too early for our assigned time, and were sent off to the regular line. Fortunately, both lines were short, so it didn't impact us at all. It also might be the person checking the assigned times whether they let you in if you are outside the 'early/late' time range. FYI, you can only book Spot Saver up to three days before your flight out of SeaTac. There are limited available entries, so if you wait until the day before your flight, you may find that the Spot Saver option is closed to you.
