Edge 9/13- Canadian customs at port and flight timing (US embarkation)

Sailing on the Edge on 9/13, SEA- Alaska-Vancouver.

We embark in Seattle but the cruise ends in Vancouver, so we will obviously have to clear Canadian C&I getting off the boat.

We've done european cruises and since it all Schengen you just walk off, and also very familiar with how easy US customs formalities are for Caribbean trips.

For flight planning out of YVR, how long does it take to get through CAD immigration and customs at the port?

It's usually very quick. I'm Canadian but husband is American so that complicates things a bit. Last time (a year ago) we basically walked right through.

Not guaranteeing this, but this was our experience.

It's usually fairly quick on arrival in port. But you will want to be at YVR 3 hours before your flight, as you must preclear US Customs and Immigration before proceeding  through  Security.
