Luna's beach club/Jamie's blue reef

Has anyone been to Jaime's new beach club Luna's?It says on the site more private no vendors.I can not find anything about it or any photos.

Jaimie has taken over one of the beach bars south of town. It is at the southern end of malecon, around where the paved highway ends between Machos bar and hotel Luna de plata.If you look at Google maps you can do a street view.

 

There was a recent review on this board if you do a search but I haven’t seen any more. It hasn’t been operating long under Jaimie. It is more private in that it is away from the main malecon and there will be less vendors because they don’t generally walk that far.

 

I did notice a TA report that said taxis were charging $5 pp. I don’t know if that is official. We did pay extra to Luna de Plata once several years ago. We could easily have just got out at the end of the malecon and walked but it was raining.

Jaime is currently using Luna Beach Club as "overflow" from Blue Reef.  There may be separate websites in the future.  But , as I understand, if you request Luna Beach when making reservations for Blue reef, he may honor that assuming there is room.  Luna is limited to # of people and not fully staffed yet,based on latest I have heard.
