Advice re: Riviera inside cabin 8092

We are contemplating this inside cabin on the Riviera.  It is at the end of a block and has an adjacent cabin on one side and crew area on the other side.  Saw a very old post complaining about noise and vibrations from the abutting space that is not a cabin.  We would appreciate hearing experiences from others who have sailed in this or similar cabin on Rivera or Marina.  Thank you very much.

I've only been on Riviera once, and we weren't in an inside cabin.  On Marina, we were once in 8088 - a bit different from that end room you're looking at.  But I don't remember any noise in 8088 (British Isles cruise in 2013)  Really, though, we've cruised in a lot of the inside cabins, and I rarely hear any noise from inside the room at all.  The smaller ships are really nice because they group many of the inside rooms together in the middle of the ship -- you're special little area, where it's very, very quiet!

On our second Oceania cruise in 2012, we booked an inside on Riviera (10036 or 10038?).  Very quiet and no complaints about location, vibrations, or service.  What we did not know was that Riviera inside rooms do not have a sofa, only a single hard chair.  We have booked insides on the smaller R ships and those insides do have a sofa and are quite roomy.  Not the situation with the two O class ships Riviera and Marina.

Not sure what has been done with the upgrade on Riviera, but last we checked there were still no sofas in the O Class insides.  Husband will not sail without a sofa in his cabin.  So, if a sofa is important to you, this may be a consideration in your choice.

Enjoy your cruise!
