Question about booking a Galopangos cruise while on a cruise now

Is there any benefit booking a Galopangos cruise while on a ship now? The future cruise desk says no. No reduced down payment and no OBC (because you don't need it per the future cruise desk). Does this sound right? Thanks in advance for any info.

There is no use for OBC.  The Xpedition wasn’t even set up to handle it as you don’t have a traditional account set up like on the big ships and there is very little that costs extra on the Galapagos ships.

You could use obc on Flora for a very small gift shop, a glamping experience or a massage.  That's it.  Very few people did glamping because of the weather, but the ones that did say they liked it.  I think it was about $300????  A massage was popular.  That was around$75.  Gift shop had hats and t shirts.  I would say no real benefit to book onboard if there is no discount on deposit or cruise.

We booked Galapagos for Oct 2025, while we were on a cruise in Oct. 2023.  We were given a reduced deposit.  We did transfer the booking to our TA.  They are giving us refundable OBC.
