Sue sue sue Posted May 13 #1 Share Posted May 13 (edited) We are sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Civitavecchia in November, and staying in a hotel for 4 days before we cruise back to FLL . Were going out on MSC, and coming back on Princess. We won’t be going to Rome this time, just staying in Civittavecchia. My question is…. How do we get from the port to the hotel ? Are taxis and Ubers readily available? Thanks to anybody that replies! 🤗🤗🤗 Edited May 13 by Sue sue sue Typo
euro cruiser Posted May 13 #2 Share Posted May 13 Uber as you understand it (amateur driver with a personal car) does not exist in Italy. Some cities have contracted with Uber to act as a conduit to a professional service, in some places to taxis (Naples), in others to car services (Rome). Civitavecchia has no contract with Uber, as far as I know. Have you asked your hotel if they will provide a pick up? You can take the free port shuttle to the Largo della Pace exit and be picked up there. There may be taxis available there (at the Largo della Pace transportation center) but I would not count on it. Sue sue sue Posted May 14 Author #3 Share Posted May 14 Ok, Uber is out.. No I haven’t asked the hotel, they don’t readily advertise it, but worth a try. Thanks!
HOSKI Posted May 15 #4 Share Posted May 15 Most of the hotels do offer a shuttle service for a small fee. Email your hotel, it's usually $5 to $10 Euro.
