Rare pierces Posted May 20 #1 Share Posted May 20 Pictures taken between Monday, May 20 and Sunday, May 26. Spring is rushing past. Crank up the shutter speed and catch it before it's gone! Rules: See above That's it. This isn't a contest. All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others! zackiedawg Posted May 27 #2 Share Posted May 27 Got out to the wetlands Saturday afternoon - 98 degrees, 90% humidity...ahh, Florida summer is here! Purple martin in flight: Black-necked stilt yelling at anyone or anything that gets close...wonder why?: THIS is why the stilt is so tense - nearby, resting under the shade of a tree, were two of its little hatchlings: Blue dasher dragonfly: Closeup of a baby wood stork staring back at me from about 6 feet away: Green heron in the classic fishing pose over the water: Eastern screech owl - still in the box - should be some owlets any day now: Meadow katydid: A wild hibiscus that grows in our local wetlands:
Rare pierces Posted May 28 Author #3 Share Posted May 28 I have been working on scanning our collection of pre-digital photographs off and on for about ten years. Sadly, it has been significantly more off than on and only includes about 1,800 images of varying quality. There are thousands more, so before I spend my spare time over the next year scanning them, I want to see where the low bar should be set where the quality won’t be salvageable. Over the past few weeks, I have been using the latest tools from Topaz AI and Photoshop to repair photos with a wide range of quality issues. Color fading with or without slight to not so slight focus issues seems to be the dominant challenge. This shot of a happy couple at their prom from 51 years ago came out very well. We were so very, very pretty! Blast From the Past Dave
