Ritz Carlton Evrima Shore Excursion Assistance for Mediterranean

Looking for some guidance for an upcoming Med Cruise with Evrima.  I wanted to know if there is the option to take a tender to any of these ports and explore on your own.  I do not want to use the shore excursions from RC and would love to know if there is an option to take a tender to land and just go on our own excursions we privately book. Also, any suggestions for private tours companies in these ports would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Our Evrima cruise in the beginning of May included the ports listed in your message. We loved all of them🤩

 

In Sorrento, we just took the tender boat followed by the shuttle bus to the city centre, and  discovered the city on our own. We enjoyed it very much, there are lemons everywhere. 

 

In Amalfi we too a RCY excursion in the morning which included a boat trip to Positano. I highly recommend taking this tour as the boat transfer is very pleasant, and Positano is a beautiful town. In the afternoon, we took the tender boat back to Amalfi and discovered the town on our own. 

 

In Taormina we opted for the walking tour organised by RCY, which was another great experience. You could possibly do it on your own by taking the free shuttle bus organised by RCY from Naxos port to Taormina. 

 

We did beautiful Siracusa on our own, as both the old town and the Neapolis archaeological park (worth a visit) are within rather easy walking distance.

 

A general remark: RCY run the tender boats very frequently, which makes the commute very easy and flexible when at anchor ports.
