Rare QuattroRomeo Posted June 9 Author #280 Share Posted June 9 I had the tomato soup and spring roll, DH had onion soup (too much bread tonight), and the salmon trio, which he liked.
Rare QuattroRomeo Posted June 9 Author #281 Share Posted June 9 I had the chicken entree, which was tasty and moist with a good gravy. DH had his favourite lamb shank. I tried the red velvet cake, it had nice cream cheese and white chocolate. DH had his usual cheese plate.

Rare QuattroRomeo Posted June 9 Author #283 Share Posted June 9 We said our goodbyes to our favourite waiters, Endri and Bambang. They have taken good care of us!
jay888 Posted June 9 #284 Share Posted June 9 I am really enjoying your pictures of the Noordam and food as I will be sailing on her in October. I have a couple of questions, what is the lasagna like and does the cheese board always like that good. Second question as there is no longer the Lincoln stage and the Northern lights venue is closed, does it feel crowed with only 2 music venues. Thank you for posting such a balanced review

Thank you for posting such a balanced review The cheese plate is DH's go-to for dessert most times. It has always been good! Neither of us had the lasagna so don't know about that. DH did try a pasta with meat sauce in the Lido one lunch time and said it was a very tasty sauce. The music venues did get crowded, but no worse than on other ships we've been on lately. I tried to find out what would be done with the former Lincoln Centre Stage area but no one knew or would say, other than some kind of reconfiguration involving the casino. The casino is wide open and directly across from the Billboard Onboard, so it could use a re-work in that area. My guess is nothing will change until the drydock in November. The Lincoln stage room was used for Art Auctions a few times. Other times people used it as a quiet reading room.

THe area of the Explorers Lounge in the above photo was beng used in March and April for the daily at sea Coffee Chat. Surprisingly the seating (about 70 seats?) was never filled.

jay888 Posted June 10 #288 Share Posted June 10 Just now, jay888 said: Thank you for replying and the Cheese board is much better than some other cruise line, my husband likes a cheese board . I have not been on the Noordam before but really looking forward to it, but HAL is now my first choice cruise line if it is a destination, that’I am looking at.

Rare QuattroRomeo Posted June 13 Author #290 Share Posted June 13 Disembarkation wasn't too bad; had time for MDR breakfast before our colour was called. It was a nice sunny day flying home over the Rockies.
