Ship model

Recommended Posts

I am sailing on the Rotterdam this September to the Norway Fjords. On every ship I went, I bought a ship model. Does the HAL Rotterdam has also ship models for sale? Does anyone knows the price, and is there a discount on the last sea day?

Usually what you'll find in the ship's shops as far as ship models are these ceramic ones made by Dutch company Royal Goedewagen, the same company who makes the tiles and plates. Not sure if they have one out yet for Rotterdam VII. There are no discounts 🙃

One more quickie; These highly detailed ship models (much more detailed than the Royal Goedewagen ceramic ones) are made by Sherbak. They are great but not cheap! You'll wind up paying beaucoup $$$ (or Euro's 😉) for them

Yes, there is a Rotterdam model available onboard. My wife purchased one for me on her cruise in April. Her and I have a cruise aboard the Rotterdam in October so saved me from carrying it home then. You can never have enough models to mark your cruises. I am only missing the Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam, NCL Leeward, Regency Regent Rainbow, and Viking Sky.

We were in a cruise terminal recently in a foreign country (can't remember which one but maybe China) and there was a 15' long highly detailed model of the RCL Icon of the Seas.  It was under glass and very impressive.
