Rare 1025cruise Posted July 5 #26 Share Posted July 5 I'm that case correct. You need to go through immigration at your first US port after being out of the country. If you are going from Boston to Portland, you'll be fine.

Lot of easy/close spots to walk to from the pier around the oldport as well, restaurants/shops/etc. Also, Spring Point is the same as 'Bug Light' locals just call it Bug Light. Spring Point and Bug are actually different light houses. Pretty close to each other though. Spring Point Ledge Light is on the campus of the junior college and located at a historic fort Preble(which is in terrible shape after the record storms earlier this year) and Bug is at a lovely park with great views of Portland. Both are worth a visit. And of course, Portland Head is said to be the most photographed lighthouse in the country for a reason. Great history as well. And you can go on down the cape to Two Lights State Park as well, and stop for a lobster roll with a great view. You can also get a great lobster roll at Bite Into Maine at Portland Head. Enjoy your visit!

This is where we found our favorite lobster roll after trying several in Maine a couple of summers ago.
