LIVE B2B CARNIVAL JUBILEE JUNE 8-JUNE 22 2024

Recommended Posts

I think we are going to try Cucina del Capitano for dinner.

We ate at Rudis last night- not as good as last week. Mum did not even finish her lobster. (She said it was very chewy and the crab was "fishy")

The key lime pie was awesome as usual.

The restaurant staff did offer her another entree but she declined.

She also said the Cioppino was amazing!

In the interest of research, yours truly ate breakfast today...

I had the skillet cake with a side of hashbrowns- both delicious but very heavy

Mum had oatmeal and a caesar salad- she said the oatmeal was much better than the lido oatmeal. Ceasar salad ok.

How is the temperature on the ship?  We were on the sailing before you and we found it to be pretty warm in most public places.  We weren't sure if it was an A/C issue or because of so many access points to go outside that the hot air just kept being pumped in.  At one point, they had multiple floor fans blowing air on deck 8 near the pizza place.

I was on the ship the same week, that this person was and it was warm at times.  The casino around the non smoking tables and craps is very warm to the point that we all were sweating and it showed.  My room was for the most part cool but every night around 3:30 i would wake up very warm and had to hit the extra cool button on the AC terminal.  I think they must have an eco system on it like the nest thermostat that reduces the air at certain times in the middle of the night.  FYI I stayed on the 15th floor.  Also there are no vents in the elevators so they can get very warm.

Yes, the Bloody Marys do taste as good as they look but even mild still has a kick.

The skillet cake is sorta pancakey, sorta cornbready. Its delicious, the menu below shows the accompanyments

That is a great one!  Are you making a 14 day zoo, or just the 7 day zoos?

Actually the towel animals were taking up too much room so had to get rid of them. But will keep this one and find room cause its Awesome!

I'm all caught up again...  I'm sorry...  You had a wonderful first leg of your B2B!!  And now enjoying it all with Mum!  Have a BLAST!!!

I would LOVE to get the Eggs Benedict with no ham/bacon -- that way it was made fresh -- and they are yummy to my tummy!  Also, I love Carnival's French Toast, plain, with only butter!!

And the Bitter 'n Blanc dessert in the MDR at dinner was always so YUMMY!!!

I'll be looking for my fun on your cruise!!!

Im happy to report the temperature outside is significantly cooler than last week. It is still hot, but not as hot. Now the inside temp.....so hot in the elevators and the common areas seems hotter this week even though the temp outside isnt as bad.

Have been able to enjoy the balconey much more this week.

Mum is still sleeping but once she gets up we will get off to visit Costa Maya.

Im still going to put my vote in again for smart elevators, they really need them on this ship. Maybe they will put them in the upcoming Excel class due out in 2027!

I have to say so far, i have tried the eggs benny 2x in the last two weeks- no gooey yoke!, total bummer! Most of the time the hollandaise is congealed:(

Now what I would really like to see is chipped beef on toast or as some would say "sh*t on a shingle"- love it!

I am so sorry that Mother Nature didn't co-operate to give you a nice day to go ashore.

Have you gone to any of the big stage productions in the evening?   I always look forward to doing that.

I'm just not a show person though I keep saying I will go to a show, I just never get around to it.

I will say there is 1 show I could get excited for and that is the Aqua Theater shows on Royal.

So looks like we are doing Cucina del Capitano again tonight. We didnt plan on it but as we were eating in the Lido yesterday, one of the crew was walking around asking people if they wanted reservations for it and we figured "why not" so there we are..
