TV and movies on the Apex

Hi, I'd asked this previously but still unsure of the answer.

 

We are going to download movies onto our laptops to play on our tv for when we fancy a 'night in'. Does anyone that's been on the apex know if we can connect our laptop via hdmi or screen share/cast our laptop/phone to the TV? 

We are not buying Internet so will have the movies downloaded.

Yes.   I've posted this Video a number of times on how to change HDMI Port.   I've used it on Apex.

We were on Apex last week, and you can stream from your mobile to the tv. No need for cables. Worked for Android and iPhone. Allowed us to watch Netflix 😊

How did you stream without a HDMI cable and HDMI adapter?

No cable or adapter needed.

When you switch on the tv, one of the options is “streaming”. If you select this, you see a screen which tells you to go to a website on your phone (or tablet/laptop) and enter the code on the screen. Once you do this, you can stream from the device to your tv. 
Really easy 😊
