BPWJR Posted March 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2006 Just off Radiance yesterday (See review in another thread) but one issue for all recent returnees. As we got checked-in received the "code of conduct." At muster drill code was read via the p.a. announcement and lastly another copy in the cabin on first day. Also, most evenings as activities were announced, at the end was the reminder that midnight was curfew time for unaccompanied minors. A few of the more experienced crusiers at the Crown & Anchor meet commented they did not remember this ever being delivered so many ways. Is this happeneing on other ships? Or a spring break pre-caution?
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted March 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2006 Might be a spring-break precaution. We are Platinum C&A cruisers. I don't ever recall such attention given to a Code of Conduct. Of course, it could be a new policy of RCI designed to prevent unfortunate incidents such as the Smith honeymoon tragedy. But I don't even recall having ever read or heard of a Code of Conduct on RCI, so I don't even know what all it entails. I would be interested to know exactly what it does involve. Is it only for minors' behavior?
BobBeaSea Posted March 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2006 Different sections of the Cruise Contract deal with behavior issues. Sections 10, 13, 14 for example.
GMoney Posted March 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 27, 2006 Previously, I've only ever heard the CofC mentioned by the Capt at the end of the muster drill (if at all). My bet is that what you experienced was a spring break / Smith case precaution.
andreakul Posted March 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2006 We experienced the same warnings on the AOS- March 12. This was new to us as well. I must say, they seemed to enforce the curfue, especially for younger kids and pre-teens. After 1:00 a.m. the ship was very quiet except in casino, disco, etc. The only place kids can be (under18) after 1:00 was in Adventure Ocean activities. I don't know if it was a spring break precaution or new rule. I was thinking the same thing--heightened measures of security, etc...since the Smith case. cmich068 Posted March 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2006 This was mentioned to us on 03/12 explorer. The curfew was not enforced. Hell, security didn't enforce anything. I was in The Chamber every night, eating in the promenade at 2 am, etc :P (im 15)
