New furniture for Quest

We are on the Quest right now.  This is a very modest change so far.  We have received 2 new replacement chairs and one replacement for the stool at the make-up mirror.  This happened for all the staterooms on Deck 5.  It is such a modest change that no one has been talking about it so far.  The new chairs are slightly slimmer and the seats are slightly higher.

Hopefully they will replace the rockhard sofas in the Quest suites, but my guess is it won't happen (or the new sofas will be even harder, because then they last longer).  But one can hope.

We don't sit on those hard style sofas except for room service  (we use them for storage of coats and other stuff).

We used to travel with an inflatable camping matress pad to put on those  sofas, so we could sit.  It also came in handy at hotels with surprise very hard matresses, but it took up a lot of space and we are trying to limit ourselves to just one case per person, and have added other essential things to pack.

I know some people are fine with those hard sofas, especially if they have trouble rising from a sitting position, but many pax with musculoskeletal sensitivities are not.

Many other lines have softer, more inviting sofas (though ultimately itinerary, plus service quality, control where we go, and not the sofa hardness or style).

Here isa question that has been asked perennially for a few years now…

Has Seabourn replaced those Boy Scouts cots they pretend to be sun loungers by the pool and deck 5? They are ancient and unpadded- in case anyone new to the line was expecting something padded and attractive- as you see on their 2 main true luxury competitors.

Happy and healthy sailing!
