jlawrence01 Posted July 3 #1 Share Posted July 3 We are arriving into Port Miami on a Sunday on a Carnival ship at 8 am on a Sunday. We are looking to book a Princess cruise out of Port Everglades on a cruise that leaves at 4 pm the same day. We are in the very preliminary stages of planing of three consecutive cruises. We are looking at a different cruise out of Port Canaveral BUT the departure is a full day later (34 hours).
KroozFoolz Posted July 3 #2 Share Posted July 3 My first thought, if I were undertaking what you described, would be to look at a site like cruisetimetables.com. Find the page for the port you wish to leave from, then the date you want to leave. The ships leaving that day from that port will be listed, so you can see if any meet your criteria. For example, here is the page for Port Everglades - Fort Lauderdale Cruise Ship Schedule | Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Schedule (cruisetimetables.com). Hope that helps. Good luck! zqvol Posted July 3 #3 Share Posted July 3 Switching between MIA and FLL is no big deal. Just get off first ship, grab a cab or Uber and 45 minutes later you are at checkin for the second ship. Don’t over think it. You have about 5 hours to go 20 miles.
Marie51 Posted July 3 #4 Share Posted July 3 If you are in Miami and you want to get to Port Canaveral, that’s about a 3 hour drive so plan accordingly. Much easier to just sail out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
hrhdhd Posted July 4 #5 Share Posted July 4 I'm not sure what your question is. You can easily get from PortMiami to Port Everglades. If you have 1.5 days, you can rent a car when you get off in Port Everglades and head to Port Canaveral. Book a beach hotel for the night. Turn the car in and head to the port in the shuttle.
