Taxi's take scooter's

We are cruising to Cozumel and have a day booked at Paradise Beach.  one person in our party will be renting a Scootaround scooter.  Does anyone have experience with the taxi's in Cozumel taking the scooters?

You will need to go to the taxi stand and look for or ask if there is a van in the queue. You will want to understand if your scooter breaks down or folds at all.

 

Where are you going with it  Downtown is reasonably scooter friendly but watch for corners without curb ramps. other places won't be very scooter friendly.

does the scooter break down?       I think it will be rough to find a cab to accommodate a scooter that does not break down
