If we purchase either the Plus or Premier packages, while dining are we restricted to ordering glasses of wine from the dining room menu, or can we also order wine from the menu at Vines?  TIA

We’ve always done this as we often prefer the selection vines.  Our waiter has always been glad to go for it for us

Thank you boone2.  Good to know.

While this is possible, it's also possible to stop by Vines and pick up a glass, even a double pour if you think you may want a couple glasses during dinner, on your way to the dining room. I suspect if you are in the dining room closest to Vines, there may be greater willingness to fetch wine from Vines.

I always choose a dining room in close proximity to Vines or Crooners and get a glass (or double) before going to dinner.  I want to save my favors from the waiters, they have enough to do.

Well, we will be in Michelangelo, so will be close to Vines.

does the mdr have Premier package class wines - I always take a double roadie from Vines to dinner and that was usually enough - until our last cruise on CB when the dinners were 2 hours plus for a 2 top treated as an 8-10 top ...

point appreciated - if I gotta wait, might as well be drinkin' the good stuff

I too would like to know what the wine menu is like mdr.  And it sounds like being close to Vines might be an asset if dinners (4 top in our case) turn into 2 hour marathons.  Sitting at the dinner table with an empty wine glass in front of me is a red flag!

We usually order bottles at dinner so no problem with top offs. If you have a package you get a 25% discount. Much better wines and huge list much better then even wines by the glass at Vines

I've said this on another post but I don't see why we can't get some of the lesser price decent bottles off that list by the glass on the package.

Vines menu has only a few wines. For dinner we often want an old vine Zin or other one off wines. We get the package for cocktails mostly and have wine with dinner or late night casino time

Have ever been able to do that in restaurants at home ?  Most restaurants have a by the glass selection and a by the bottle selection. They really do not want tons of bottles open back in the galley
